Stephen's Testimony

    Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! May Great and peaceful Grace Reign supreme in your life today.  May all your loved ones be blessed with that unspeakable joy that is full of Glory? May God the Father shelter you under the cover of His wings and may He fill you with His Spirit so that you may say with all the other Host of Heaven, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY

I am Pastor Stephen Rwahwire, a Mutoro by tribe, and I was born on 15.02.1958, meaning that I am aged 62. I come from a small district in Uganda here in Africa called Kabarole from Toro sub region.

I am married officially to one wife (Miss Valeria Kabasomi aged 66) as the bible says in Genesis 2:18, we have three Children, two Girls (Lusi Kabazahura and Naume Kemigisa) and one boy (Asiimwe Wilson) of whom we stay together in the same home.

I got saved on 15.02.1971 when I was very young at the age 13 and I was baptized on 3.05.1972 in a Baptist church called Kasenda Baptist Church which was located in Kabarole District. In 1975, I went to a Bible College by that time called Kitumba Baptist Bible College where I spent 3 years of study. From there, I continued to preach the gospel as an ordained Baptist Pastor of Kasenda Baptist Church for three years whereby I taught the only truth from the scriptures and other pastors that I was working with were not happy with me for what I was teaching, they wanted us to preach the gospel of prosperity and other things that were not Biblical. From that time, I was really very much upset for the pastors that I was working with to teach in that church. I officially wrote to them a letter requesting to step aside from leadership of which they accepted with no any question.

After stepping aside, I went back to my home and I spent many years without going to any church but instead, I used to fellowship with my family members praying to God to have mercy on me and show me the right church for me to attend since most churches in Uganda as of today used to preach heresy of which I was not in line with. It was until I met with Pastor Price Ibrahim in Fort Portal town introducing to me a brother from USA called David Jones who was a pastor of a reformed church by that time called Heritage Reformed Baptist Church which was located in the state of Indiana.

From there, I started to write to Brother David personally of whom he connected us together and trained us together alongside few other pastors we had invited for our training. David used to train us both on line and he as well used to send us reformation books plus questions and answers whereby we also got certificates after our training which took about two years.

After our training with Brother Price and a few other Pastors. David requested Brother Price and myself to look for some two small rooms in Fort Portal town and in Rutoma and he pay for us rent and we start as well to train other people the truth. We started two small churches of which one was called “Fort Portal Heritage Reformed Baptist Church” and “Rutoma Heritage Reformed Baptist Church”. 

David paid rent for us for some time and at the end he lost his job and stopped to pay for us whereby we closed down the two churches for two years and it was until we met with a Church called GFC in USA which supported us for a long time and also closed due to some reasons but our lord has not forsaken us but instead made our ministry ran well up to today. The lord is most sovereign and his Grace is sufficient!

After David had lost his job, we changed our ministry name from Heritage Reformed Baptist Church to Grace Fellowship Church. Funny enough, we had many so called Pastors we had trained also and there others who had partnered with us and they realized that we had no support for them and they all ran away. In their minds, they had no focus on the truth because most of them were Pentecostals and they loved to move that way of which for us were not interested in after knowing the only truth from scriptures. Read John 8:31-32.

From all that time, when other people left us, we did not stop to teach the truth and we have seen the lord work in our lives and the people we are teaching both in our churches and on the radio. We also do house to house evangelism, we preach in Hospitals and to every one we come across. The lord has also granted us a chance to attend many Reformed Pastors conferences and we also have many reformation books to read. Our churches are small but we stand in scriptures alone as we know the five solas of reformation.

We finally thank the lord for the few people who are joining us little by little every time because of our teachings and we are planting other reformed Baptist churches as the lord will have allowed in Africa.
